Supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)，Zhongyuan University of Technology (ZUT) sponsored the symposium on partial differential equations (PDE) and applications in He Nan Songshan Hotel from November 14 to 16. More than 100  scholars and graduate students across the country attended the seminar. Many famous experts attended the event, including the vice president of ZUT Fang Jianyin, Miao Changxing, a well-known expert and researcher at the Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics in Beijing, Prof. Yang Xiaoping from Nanjing University, Prof. Zhengan Yao from Sun Yat-sen University, Prof. Wang Shu from Beijing University of Technology, Prof. Qu Changzheng from Ningbo University, Prof. Zhang Zhifei from Peking University, Prof. Wang Mingxin from Harbin Institute of Technology, Prof. Wang Chunpeng from Jilin University, Prof. Kong Dexing from Zhejiang University, Prof. Yang Zhijian from Zhengzhou University,  the director of Science and Technology Department of ZUT Song Xiaowei. Song Changming ,the dean of the College of Science, presided over the seminar.

The successful convening of this seminar will promote the development of mathematics discipline of the university. It will also strengthen the cooperation and exchanges with brother colleges in HeNan province and other renowned universities all over the country.
